  • Between April 2019 and March 2020 969 potential survivors of modern slavery were referred to the NRM in the West Midlands, an increase of 45 percent compared to the previous year. This makes up 8 percent of the UK’s total. Click here for the source

  • West Midlands Police operated the largest modern slavery investigation in the UK and from January 2019 to June 30th2020. West Midlands Police have arrested 58 suspected traffickers. Click here for the source

  • West Midlands Police received 173 NRM referrals. The second largest number of referrals received by a police force in the UK after Metropolitan Police Service. (2020 Quarter 3 NRM Statistics (1st July – 30th September)
